5 days away...

So, Dylan came 5 days before his due date. It's 5 days before my due date for Baby Girl. Looks like she's not in a big hurry to come on the scene!
I've been having contractions, on and off, for about 24 hours (nothing consistent) so just waiting to see what happens.
Went for my 39 week check up on Monday and saw the doctor who delivered Dylan. I haven't spoken with him since my post-pardum visit almost 3 years ago! He's a bit of a worry-wart and a pessimist, so that was fun for me (joking).Check Spelling Why can't doctors be positive and encouraging? I'm a woman who is about to give BIRTH - which is definitely something that requires a bit of pysching up to do... not pointing out the negative and scary possibilities (like I'm not a little bit scared already)... and actually lying in one instance! Oh well - after I left the office, took a tums (this doctor gives me heartburn) and talked with God, I was again reassured that HE is in control. Whew!
Thankfully I scheduled my next visit a week from today, which is 2 days past my official due date. This gives me some time before any unwanted or unnecessary intervention. At my next appointment they plan to hook me up to a fetal monitor to make sure the baby is okay and the placenta is still healthy - all good things.
I also got some information out of the receptionist - found out which doctors are on call which days this week at the hospital. Unfortunately the doctor I really wanted to deliver Baby Girl is on vacation (bummer!) but now I know to pray specifically for a Wednesday, Friday or weekend delivery - these are the best doctors out of the bunch. Will you pray with me?! Either way, I know my God is in control and again - He knows all the who, what, when, where and why of this delivery. So thankful for the priviledge of putting my trust in a Sovereign God and incredibly grateful for my relationship with Jesus Christ which has sustained me thus far, and will sustain me for the delivery!
Today I took Dylan to Monkey Joes - it was a special treat - and we actually got our moneys worth by going in the morning AND again before dinner! Might as well stretch that $5.99 and get all the Monkey Joes fun in for one day! He had a blast jumping, climbing, sliding and running. This place is perfect for a kid his age - finally old enough to climb up almost all the ladders and brave enough to slide down all the slides, yet still a challenge and he definitely got a workout! I got a workout just watching him! One of my friends joked I should have got in and bounced around a little - that will get things moving! Oh my!!

HOW EXCITING!! Baby girl will be here any day now, any moment! Don't have any anxiety, God has it all in control. Even if things go different than you have planned, or in a way you didn't want, God is still in control and that is something to take peace in and have joy about! The MAKER of the universe, the almighty ETERNAL God has YOU in his hand and is with YOU every second of this process. Love you sister! Can't wait to meet this new baby and have our boys play again soon!

Monkey Joe's might have brought baby girl on! :) I am praying that all goes well and that the doctor that delivers her will be JUST the person that you need. The Lord will provide! THE BEST TO YOU!
